Died Aug. 19, 2001, aged 77; survived by his wife, Anna.

**Edgell**, Peter G., Baie-d'Urfé, Que.; McGill University, 1943; psychiatry; FAPA, FRCPC; RCNVR, WW II; chief of psychiatry and staff, Reddy Memorial Hospital Centre; staff and board member, Julius Richardson Convalescent Hospital; professor emeritus, McGill University. Died Aug. 14, 2001, aged 83; survived by his wife, Roberta, and 4 children.

**Fraser**, George M., Dartmouth, NS; Dalhousie University, 1950; pathology; associate pathologist, Victoria General Hospital; associate professor, Dalhousie University. Died Aug. 5, 2001, aged 75; survived by his wife.

**Greenberg**, Abraham B., Vancouver; University of Manitoba, 1929; MCFP; former emeritus medical staff, St. Paul's Hospital. Died Aug. 10, 2001, aged 104; survived by his children Dr. Philip, Deborah and Judith. His obituary stated: “He excelled in school, completing 12 years of public school education in 3, graduating cum laude from the University of Manitoba.”

**Hendrick**, E. Bruce, Etobicoke, Ont.; University of Toronto, 1946; neurosurgery; FACS, FRCSC; former chief neurosurgeon, Hospital for Sick Children; consultant, North York General Hospital and Hugh MacMillan Medical Centre; associate professor, University of Toronto. Died Aug. 17, 2001, aged 77; survived by his wife, Gloria, and 2 children.

**Hewitt**, William J., Lindsay, Okla.; Queen's University, 1957; former staff, Smith Falls Community Hospital; consultant, Rideau Regional Hospital School; trustee, Lanark County Board of Education; town councillor, Smith Falls. Died Aug. 18, 2001, aged 70; survived by 7 children.

**Hutchins**, Donald T., Aurora, Ont.; University of Toronto, 1943; internal medicine; FRCPC. Died Aug. 6, 2001, aged 84; survived by his wife, Kay, and children. His obituary stated: “His integrity, pride, compassion and love of life influenced all of us to set our sights high.”

**Koilpillai**, Susan R., Edmonton; University of Alberta, 1982; family medicine; CCFP. Died of endocarditis Aug. 11, 2001, aged 43; survived by her husband, Tim, and 3 daughters.

**Kovacs**, George, Vancouver; University of Budapest (Hungary), 1952; psychiatry; FRCPC; former unit director, Riverview Hospital; consultant, University Hospital–Shaughnessy Site. Died Aug. 9, 2001, aged 77; survived by his wife, Klara.

**Landry**, Henry J., University of Paris (France), 1955; internal medicine; former senior physician, St. Mary's Hospital; staff, Queen Mary's Veterans Hospital; medical officer, Air Canada; researcher and president, Rideau Institute Advanced Research Center for Physical and Behavioral Sciences. Died Sept. 22, 2001, aged 87; survived by his wife, Sylvette, and 3 stepchildren. His obituary stated: “His area of expertise was the use of various species of mushrooms to combat radioactive cessium contamination. He was an expert cellist and an avid collector of mushrooms.”

**Maclean**, Charles A., Vancouver; McGill University, 1947; internal medicine; FRCPC; former medical officer, BC Workers' Compensation Board; staff, Shaughnessy and St. Vincent's hospitals; visiting staff, Vancouver General Hospital; clinical instructor, University of British Columbia. Died July 22, 2001, aged 80; survived by his wife, Pamela, and 3 children. Colleague Eric Lehmann commented: “He was a colourful and favourite instructor in the UBC Faculty of Medicine, and his expertise in pulmonary diseases was much respected.”

**Mills**, Douglas G., Nanaimo, BC; University of Toronto, 1955; general surgery; FACS, FRCSC; former surgical staff, Oshawa, Dr. Joseph O. Ruddy and Ajax and Pickering general hospitals; consultant, Workers' Compensation Board. Died following a myocardial infarction Aug. 10, 2001, aged 69; survived by his wife, Carol, and 2 sons.

**Thibeault**, Jeanne-d'Arc, Repentigny (Qué.); Université de Montréal, 1960; hygiène et santé publique; DPH. Décédé le 23 mai 2001, à l'âge de 77 ans.

**Tomascik**, Theodor, White Rock, BC; Komenskeho University (Czechoslovakia), 1953; former staff, Port Arthur and St. Joseph's general hospitals. Died July 28, 2001, aged 75.

**Witt**, Ivan D., Medicine Hat, Alta.; Palackeho University (Czechoslovakia), 1976; endocrinology and metabolism; FACP, FRCPC; former internist, Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. Died suddenly Aug. 4, 2001, aged 49; survived by his wife, Susan, and 2 children.

**Wong**, Wing Y., Vancouver; Queen's University, 1934; urology. Died Aug. 12, 2001, aged 92; survived by 2 children. His obituary stated: “He worked as 1 of 5 original Chinese family practice physicians in Vancouver.”

**Zilberman**, Josef, York, Ont.; Buch- arest University (Romania), 1952; MCFP. Died July 11, 2001, aged 78.
