**Bradley**, John E., Calgary; University of Alberta, 1940; former first executive director, Glenrose Provincial Hospital; chair, Alberta Hospital Commission; creator and executive director, Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research; chair emeritus, Board of Governors, University of Alberta. Senior member, CMA. Died Mar. 22, 2004, aged 86: survived by 3 children. “He became the first physician in Alberta to be inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.”

**Coburn**, J. Blair, Arnprior, Ont.; Queen's University, 1949; DPH; former area medical director N/E and central area, Bell Canada. Died Mar. 10, 2004, aged 78.

**Daugavietis**, Hugo E., St. Catharines, Ont.; University of Riga (Latvia), 1944; internal medicine; FACP, FRCPC; former staff, Hotel Dieu and St. Catharines General hospitals; consulting staff, Niagara-on-the-Lake General Hospital. Died May 28, 2004, aged 82; survived by his wife, Rita, and 2 children.

**Evans**, Griffith H., Etobicoke, Ont.; English Conjoint Board, London (England), 1933; diagnostic radiology; FRCPC; former medical officer, Canadian Army; radiologist, Kingston General, Sunnybrook and Humber River hospitals. Died Mar. 23, 2004, aged 95; survived by his wife, Joan, and children, Dr. Jonathan and Susan. “In his youth he was a distinguished athlete and his love of sport continued throughout his life, playing golf well, until his last summer. His mind and his memory remained crystal clear to the end due to bridge, crossword puzzles and the stock market.”

**Kelsey**, Henry A., New Westminster, BC; University of London (England), 1938; obstetrics/gynecology; MRCOG, FRCOG, FRCSC; former staff, Royal Columbian and St. Mary's hospitals; visiting consultant, Surrey Memorial Hospital; senior member, CMA; Died Mar. 13, 2004, aged 88.

**Kuwayti**, Kamal, Ottawa; American University of Beirut (Lebanon), 1951; internal medicine; FACP, FRCPC; former staff, Ottawa Civic Hospital; associate clinical professor, University of Ottawa. Died Apr. 13, 2004, aged 78; survived by 3 children. Dr. Mark Silverman said, “He was a teacher, mentor, colleague and a friend, who taught as much about the art of being a good doctor as well as the science of medicine.”

**Langley**, Hugh G., St. Catharines, Ont.; Queen's University, 1956; MCFP; U.S. Navy, WW II; former chief of staff, Hotel Dieu Hospital. Died Mar. 11, 2004, aged 78; survived by his wife, Irene, and children, Dr. Hugh Jr., John, Janet, Jean and Alison. “He was a life member of the St. Catharines Stamp Club and a member of Queen Street Baptist Church for 65 years where he taught Sunday school for 20 years.”

Died Mar. 14, 2004, aged 85; survived by 2 children. “He enjoyed sailing, birding, reading and all theatre. He love jazz, marching bands and the classics.”

**Roch-Desmarais**, Ursula A., Dunrobin, Ont.; McGill University, 1977; diagnostic radiology; FRCPC; former staff, Rosemount Family Medical Centre. Died Mar. 20, 2004, aged 51.

**Squires**, Franklin J., North York, Ont.; University of Manitoba, 1945; former staff and chief of staff, North York Branson Hospital; teaching staff, University of Manitoba. Died of cancer Mar. 14, 2004, aged 87; survived by his wife, Jacqueline, and 4 children.

**Taylor**, Cyril R., Saint John, NB; Dalhousie University, 1953; general surgery; FRCSC, FACS; RCAF, WW II; former staff, Saint John General, St. Joseph's and Lancaster Veterans hospitals, Centrecare, and Ridgewood Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre; president, Saint John Medical Society; medical director, Alcohol and Drug Dependency Commission. Died May 12, 2004, aged 87; survived by his wife, Joanne, and children, Dr. David, Dr. Douglas, Beth and Barbara.
