Died Jan. 14, 2007, aged 91. **Lannon,** Stan Gerard, Halifax; Dalhousie University, 1957, urology. Died Jan. 19, 2007, aged 74. “Following graduation from Dalhousie University, he did postgraduate work in Halifax, Toronto and Montréal. He returned to Dalhousie University in 1967 as an organ transplant coordinator. He was involved in establishing an organ transplant program in the Atlantic Provinces and helped perform the first kidney transplant in Nova Scotia on Apr. 14, 1969. He practised urology at the Victoria General Hospital, where he was much respected by his colleagues for his skills and resolute devotion to his patients. He was a member of the Canadian and American Urological and Transplant Societies. He retired in 1998. Died Jan. 16, 2007, aged 55. “Upon completing specialty training in internal medicine and rheumatology, he became a professor of internal medicine. John was very proud to be recognized by his medical students, receiving the University of Saskatchewan Award for Teaching Excellence. He was head of the rheumatology department and director of student affairs and admissions. John had a passion for research and published many papers and advisory positions. He embarked on a joint venture that resulted in the creation of Star Rehab. John is survived by his wife, Anne, children, Kalle (Brendan), David, Kevin and Brian and stepchildren, Jolyne and Adam.” **Somerleigh,** Edward Roy, North York, Ont.; Queen's University, 1953.
