Died Jan. 5, 2008, aged 68. **Barnett,** George Dudley, Kelowna, British Columbia; University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, 1944. Died Dec. 28, 2007, aged 92. During World War II, Dr. Barnett provided medical services on the ships transporting troops to Europe and home. Following the war, he began working for the Saskatchewan Anti Tuberculosis League and dedicating his career to the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis. During his 36-year career with the League, he saw the closure of all 3 tuberculosis sanatoria in Saskatchewan. He is survived by his wife, Irene, children, Lesley, Loreen, Alden and Cathy, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. **Dorsey,** Francis Richard J; University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, 1943, obstetrics and gynecology. Died Jan. 2, 2008, aged 90. **Gibson,** Gary Allen, Salt Spring Island, British Columbia; University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, 1965, family medicine. Died Jan. 3, 2008, aged 66. While a family physician in Cambridge, Ontario, he held various teaching positions at the University of Western Ontario and was the assistant dean (continuing medical education) for 3 years. Deeply involved in the College of Family Physicians of Canada, he became president of the Ontario Chapter in 1977 and chairman of the national board from 1984 to 1986. Dr. Gibson moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1999 and was the director of post-graduate programs at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine for 2 years. In addition to his Vancouver practice and locums, he was a medical consultant for the provincial Ministry of Health until he had a major stroke in 2002. In 2004 he was made a Life Member of the Ontario Medical Association. Gary remained an avid world traveller and recently toured the Acropolis in his wheelchair. Predeceased by his parents, Clyde Gibson and Bertha Gibson (nee Burrows), Dr. Gibson is survived by his partner, Lloyd Nicholson. **Hutchison,** John Arthur, Victoria, British Columbia; Welsh National School of Medicine, Cardiff, Wales, 1953, anesthesiology. Died Jan. 9, 2008, aged 88. **Jones,** Arthur, Port Coquitlam, British Columbia; Queen's University, Belfast, Northern Ireland, 1950. Died Jan. 4, 2008, aged 82. **Lavoie,** Jean-Charles, Chicoutimi, Quebec; Université Laval, Sainte-Foy, Quebec, 1949, otolaryngology. Died Jan. 5, 2008, aged 85. **Moffoot,** Alexander Gordon, North Saanich, British Columbia; University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland, 1945, general surgery. Died Jan. 6, 2008, aged 84. **Macpherson,** Bruce Edward, Almonte, Ontario; University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, 1950, family medicine. Died Jan. 10, 2008, aged 87. **Morgan,** Trevor David, Edson, Alberta; Victoria University of Manchester, Manchester, England, 1962. Died Jan. 7, 2008, aged 70. **Moyer,** Arthur Andrew, London, Ontario; University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, 1950, family physician. Died Dec. 13, 2007, aged 89. Dr. Moyer was a part of the veterans class educated under the Veterans Rehabilitation Act. During World War II he served 2 tours of duty with the Royal Air Force and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After doing postgraduate training in internal medicine, he worked at the London Sanatorium, but finally chose general practice. He served with the military reserves until retiring in 1965. Dr. Moyer retired at the age of 83 after practising for almost 50 years. Love of nature and his family were his greatest joys in life. He is predeceased by his wife, Jessie (Cunningham), and survived by daughter, Dr. Patricia Mayr, son, Andrew, and granddaughter, Ana. **Paquette,** Derick Brett John, Guelph, Ontario; McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, 1981, family medicine. Died Jan. 2, 2008, aged 52. **Regehr,** Rudolf Peter, Elliot Lake, Ontario; University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, 1968. Died Jan. 6, 2008, aged 63. Dr. Regehr specialized in addiction medicine and was the medical consultant for the Oaks Treatment Cenre in Elliot Lake for more than 20 years. His favourite place was Waterton National Park in Alberta where he often hiked. He is survived by his wife Mary, 2 daughters, Charmaine and Natasha and 2 grandchildren. **Sipos,** Louis, Brockville, Ontario; Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, 1960. Died Dec. 21, 2007, aged 81. **Thakur,** Kripa Shanker, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Nagpur University, Nagpur, India, 1956, psychiatry. Died Dec. 28, 2007, aged 76. At the Thakur Clinic, which he established in Saskatoon, Dr. Thakur specialized in treating eating disorders using hypnosis. Dr. Thakur is survived by his wife, Aruna, children, Smiley and Sonia, and 2 grandchildren.
