CMAJ has been made aware of an error that occurred in the Nov. 20, 2023, issue.1
It was noted that the House of Commons enacted the Critical Cyber Systems Protection Act in June 2022, when, in fact, this is when the Government of Canada first introduced Bill C-26, An Act Respecting Cyber Security, which would amend the Telecommunications Act. The second part of Bill C-26 proposes the Critical Cyber Systems Protection Act. Bill C-26 is currently still in committee in the House of Commons.
