Died Aug. 24, 2003, aged 66; survived by his wife, Myrna, and 4 children. “He was the founder and first president of the Northern Alberta Urological Foundation.”

Died Oct. 24, 2003, aged 80; survived by his wife, Luba, and 2 children. “His work in understanding and treating epilepsy earned him a worldwide reputation. He published about 250 scientific articles. He was an accomplished pianist and harpsichordist with a special love of Bach.”

Murdered while visiting India, Aug. 25, 2003, aged 62; survived by her husband, Dr. Sadan Goel, and 3 children.

Died of cancer Oct. 7, 2003, aged 75; survived by his wife, Constance, and 3 children. “He graduated as an architect, and was a sailor, aviator, hiker and skier who conquered and named many virgin peaks. At the end of the day, it was peace and quiet and a good book.”
