Died Mar. 21, 2004, aged 80; survived by 7 children. “He founded the Toronto Doctors Lions Club and enjoyed performing as a clown in parades across Canada and the US.”

Died of leukemia Jan, 21, 2004, aged 81; survived by his wife, Janet, and 2 children. “He was a very keen tennis player and coached several young people, one or 2 of whom did well in the provincial championships. He travelled extensively, read widely, had many interests and was always learning.”

Died Mar. 19, 2004, aged 81; survived by his wife, Barbara, and 4 children. “He will be remembered for his deeply lived Christian faith, his compassionate heart, his love of music and gardening and his appreciation for the wild beauty of Dartmoor in Devon, England.”

Died Mar. 5, 2004, aged 67; survived by his wife, Michelle, and 5 children. Jennifer Gait wrote, ”A man of boundless energy, known for his compassion, spontaneity, humour, love of the outdoors, and deep faith, he was an advocate for the homeless. In 1991 he founded the Anawin Companion's Society. Anawin House became a place where the homeless could find refuge from drugs and alcohol while living in a family atmosphere which gave them unconditional support and acceptance.”
